Stump Grinding
Stump grinding can be performed after recently removing a tree or we can grind existing stumps on your property from trees removed in past history. Stump grinding is the process of using a stump grinding machine to mechanically grind the stump and surface roots down below the ground surface. Stump grinding produces an excellent organic rich mulch that we can leave for you or haul away if you desire. Our stump grinding machine can fit through a standard fence gate and remove your stump with ease and efficiency. We can remove any size stump.
Supplemental Support Systems
Supplemental tree support systems are recommended to preserve valuable trees by helping strengthen defects or conditions that weaken tree structure such as cracks, splits, or heavy loading like overextended branches. Installing a support system will often have the least impact on tree health, aesthetics, and function in the landscape. Tree support systems can be divided into four general categories: cables, braces, guys, and props. Cabling is the installation of steel or fiber ropes installed between branches within a tree canopy. Braces are metal rods installed through branches or stems. Guys are wires, ropes, or webbing installed from a tree to an external anchor. Props are rigid structures installed beneath a low branch or trunk. Air Spading Root Excavation
The Airspade is a pneumatic tool that utilizes compressed air 2x the speed of sound. Our arborists use this supersonic air flow to safely and efficiently break up compacted soil, increase aeration, and incorporate additional organic matter into existing urban soils without damaging sensitive tree roots. Techniques such as Vertical Mulching, Sheet Excavation, and Root Collar Excavation allow our arborists to improve the root system and soil structure. Root pruning, soil deficiency and stem girdling roots can be corrected with Airspade excavation.
